ABOUT THE RRAI

Road Race Alliance of Ireland is the proposed body overseeing and supporting Road Race Clubs in Ireland. The RRAI works with our Clubs in Southern Ireland in preserving and future proofing our Road Race Sports' heritage and longevity for the years to come. The RRAI has come about due to the significant issues our discipline has found itself in since the end of 2022. Several Road Race Clubs in the Southern Centre have come together to form the RRAI. The fundemental foundations of our Organisation  are transparency, accountabilty and advocacy for Road Racing in Ireland.

THE ROAD RACE CLUBS BEHIND THE RRAI
Faugheen50 Supporters Club Ltd.
FAUGHEEN 50 SUPPORTERS CLUB

The Club was formed in 2000 with the aim of bringing back the famous Faugheen 50 Road Races which ran throughout the seventies and eighties. Since then, the Club has ran the event bringing huge crowds to the Co. Tipperary town. While Joey never won at Faugheen, the club were lucky enough that Gary, brought Joeys RC45 and 250 for Derek Sheils and Derek McGee to take for a spin to the delight of the crowds.

Southwest Road Racing Athea
SOUTHWEST RACING ATHEA

The newly formed Southwest Racing Athea have been working dillegently to bring back one of the most enjoyable road race events we have had on the calendar.  Unfortunately with Covid, and the recent Insurance issues, the club hasn't had the oppurtunity to showcase the work and commitment of the club. The Club has become one of the strongest advocates of Road Racing and has worked tirelessly in support of the Sport.

Fore Motorcycle Racing Club
FORE MOTORCYCLE RACING CLUB

In 2023, the Fore Club celebrated its fiftieth anniversary and has ran two circuits in its lifetime, Fore Village, and now, Walderstown. The club  under Austin Dobson went from strength to strength over the years, and now have cemented the Walderstown Circuit into a corner stone of our Road Racing heritage.  The names who have won races at Fore and Walderstown are some of the most legendary names in our Sport, Con Law, Sam McClements, Eddie Laycock, the entire Dunlop family, and now Kevin Keyes, Derek McGee and Micko Sweeney join the illustrious names who have supported and raced at the Fore Clubs events.
