    RRAI LAUNCHES GOFUNDME CAMPAIGN 25

After overcoming so many obstacles since last September, the RRAI last week launched its GoFundMe Campaign to assist with the costs of our Insurance Policy. In 2024, we, the Road Race Clubs were told by some, in no uncertain terms that no insurance provider, broker of underwriter anywhere would "touch our sport" or even consider talking about the sport of road racing, let alone insure it. The RRAI at the outset, with only three road race clubs sought a policy to cover 7 road races in the Southern Centre, because at the time, we felt that it was best for the sport to include other events outside of our three road races. The RRAI and the three clubs have worked dillegently and committed their time and knowledge to get the job done, which we did. Not for any other reason, but to protect the sports present, honour it's past and secure it's future. But, unlike other Governing bodies, we do not have a cash reserve, nor a pot of gold that they can use and so reluctantly, we are asking road race fans, motorcycle enthusiasts and all involved with two wheeled and three wheeled fans to help us. The policy is costly, covers 7 road races, including Walderstown, Faugheen and Athea and other events so please if you can spare a bit of change, every little helps us keep road racing going, not just for 2025, but for the years ahead. Check it out,
